چکیده
In this paper, the class of continuous-time linear systems is enlarged with the inclusion of the fractionallinear systems. These are systems described by fractional differential equations. It is shown how to compute theimpulse, step, and frequency responses from the transfer function. The theory is supported by definitions offractional derivative and integral, generalisations of the usual. An introduction to fractal signals as outputs offractional differintegrators is also done. It is shown how to define a stationary fractal. 1 IEE Proceedings Vision, Image and Signal Processing, vol.147,No. 1, February 20002 Also with INESC, R. متن کاملThe Role of Time Constraints in the Design of Control for the Jogger's Problem - Decision and Control, 1995., Proceedings of the 34th IEEE Conference on
Control schemes in real-time sensor-based systems often operate under tight time constraints determined by the system sampling rate. One area where uch constraints are especially severe is the sensorbased motion planning with dynamics in robotics. Though very important both theoretically and in practice, this problem has not been addressed so far. The typical sampling rates in such systems are ...
متن کاملHybrid Control of Formations of Robots
We describe a framework for controlling a group of nonholonomic mobile robots equipped with range sensors. The vehicles are required to follow a prescribed trajectory while maintaining a desired formation. By using the leader-following approach, we formulate the formation control problem as a hybrid (mode switching) control system. We then develop a decision module that allows the robots to aut...
متن کاملRobust state estimation in power systems using pre-filtering measurement data
State estimation is the foundation of any control and decision making in power networks. The first requirement for a secure network is a precise and safe state estimator in order to make decisions based on accurate knowledge of the network status. This paper introduces a new estimator which is able to detect bad data with few calculations without need for repetitions and estimation residual cal...
متن کاملPolygonal approximation of uncertain height fields for outdoor navigation - Decision and Control, 2000. Proceedings of the 39th IEEE Conference on
Exploring unstructured and unknown environments is one of the most important tasks of mobile robotics. Usually, in outdoor navigation, exploring unstructured environments is based on or is functional to map making procedures. This paper deals with the problem of representing and updating maps from height field measurements. A technique for dynamic updating maps, in the presence of bounded uncer...
